Hailed by critics as "a musical experience unlike any other", Toxic Audio is a five member theatrical vocal experiencel. These talented vocal virtuosos teamed up to create a unique interactive show, combining dazzling harmonies, vocal sound effects and their own brand of improv comedy.
The show caught the attention of the Disney executives who immediately hired Toxic Audio to perform at the Disney MGM Studios. These electrifying entertainers demonstrate an impressive versatility that sometimes makes it difficult to define the group's musical style.
Their repertoire is an eclectic mix of almost every musical genre ranging from pop to jazz, hip-hop to country and R&B to comedy parodies. Their audience appeal is amazingly diverse with a fan base and audience members ranging from in ages from 7 - 87.
The Toxins have opened for such national acts as Tony Bennett, Kenny G, and Wayne Brady. Accolades include being named "The Best Pop Group In America" by Ed McMahon's Next Big Star and crowned the year 2000 Harmony Sweep-stakes National Champions.
Their theatre work has earned them the Lillie Stoates Award for Best Musical and their album; "Chemistry" won the 2003 CARA Award for "A Cappella Album of the Year" along with being voted the 2005 CARA "Artist of the Year!" Their most recent accolade is winning the prestigious Drama Desk Award for the "Most Unique Theatrical Experience of 2004", for their 7 month Off Broadway smash run.
Toxic Audio will be performing at the Kirtland Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Kirtland Community College on Sat., November 11, 2006 at 8 pm.
